Leader in Me (7 Habits of Highly Effective People)

Helping Students Drive Personal Change and Growth

Leader in Me is a whole-school transformation model and process developed in partnership with educators that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. The program aligns with Springfields’s belief in the powerful premise that every child possesses unique strengths and has the ability to be a leader.

Springfields inculcates Stephen Covey’s Leader in Me programme into its curriculum through the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Students and staff learn to use a common language and build an understanding of how to work effectively, independently and interdependently, in all aspects of life, not just at school.

Be Proactive

We embolden students to take charge and assume responsibilities in various simulated real-life scenarios that highlight global issues and help boost their inter-personal dynamics.

Begin With the End in Mind

Our teachers and counsellors assist our children with their short-and long-term goal setting process, while identifying significant milestones that ensure that the vision for the future is clear and their actions are aligned accordingly.

Put First Things First

Our students are constantly guided to focus on what’s important and help bring them closer to their vision, instead of getting distracted by unimportant tasks.

Think Win-Win

We encourage our students to yearn for strong relationships as the biggest takeback, and thus always pursue a solution in a problem-case scenario that is acceptable to all parties.

Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood

Our team aims to foster the temperament for patient listening among our students, and thus make room for perspectives from across the board to be weighed in, before laying forward their recommendations and solutions.

Synergize

Our students are made to understand by practice that contributions of many shall far exceed that of any individual. This helps them achieve more than they could have ever done on their own.

Sharpen The Saw

We plan our students’ day in a manner that it remains well-balanced and sustainable. We give them time to recuperate, recharge and be effective in the long run, and thus come to school physically and mentally fresh, every day.
